Reflexology #01

A Brief History of Reflexology

Foot massage is an ancient healing art known to man for many thousands of years. Thought to have originated in China over 5000 years ago, the ancient Egyptians and Indians are also known to have used forms of reflexology.

The practice was later scientifically developed during the last century.

Reflexology #02

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology works by stimulating reflex points on the feet which correspond to specific parts of the body. It is an holistic treatment which treats the whole body rather than just a person’s specific symptoms.

Reflexologists perform different movements on the feet using their hands in order to release tension, eliminate toxins, improve the circulation, and to restore the body’s natural balance or Homeostasis.
